In addition to the existing schools, the Ministry of Defence has approved 18 new Sainik Schools. These new schools operate in partnership with NGOs, private schools, and State Governments, and function under the aegis of the Sainik Schools Society. They also offer admissions to Class VI through AISSEE 2023.
